Photos access

Kyodo, Cutter, Joinner, SubTitler, Translator, Mixer, Reframer, Cleaner, Masker, Colorer, Stabilizer, Stamper, Follower, Pacer, and Narrator use Photos access to read videos and save the finished result. Photos access is not used to upload your videos to a developer-operated server.

Why does the app need Photos access?

It needs access to read videos you select and save the finished video to your Photo Library. Analysis, cutting, joining, transcription, caption translation, caption burn-in, BGM mixing, aspect-ratio reframing, voice-audio cleanup, privacy masking, brightness/color adjustment, video stabilization, narration audio overlay, and export happen on the device according to each app's features. Caption translation is used by Translator, BGM mixing is used by Kyodo and Mixer, and text-to-speech narration is used by Narrator.

Can I use Limited Photos access?

Yes. With Limited Photos access, the app can use only the videos you allow. If a target video is not found, review your Photos access or choose the video again.

Are original videos changed?

No. Original videos remain unchanged. The finished video is saved as a new video.

Save location

The finished video is saved as a new video in the iPhone Photos app. After saving, you can view or share it from Photos, social apps, or Messages.

Where can I find the saved video?

Check Recents or the Videos section in the Photos app. The completion screen may also offer a button to open Photos.

What if saving fails?

Check Photos add permission, available storage, and battery state. Long videos or many source videos can take more time to create and save.

Can I share the result?

Yes. After creation, you can use the standard iOS share sheet. The selected destination app or service controls how the shared file is handled.

FAQ

What does Kyodo edit automatically?

Kyodo joins today's, date-range, or selected videos in capture-date order, applies an automatic rough-cut pass, adds captions created from audio and bundled BGM, and saves the finished result as a new video.

What does Cutter do?

It uses speech and long gaps as cues to create the first rough-cut pass. Padding is kept around cuts so the result does not feel overly tight, and the app falls back safely if too much would be removed.

An iCloud video cannot be loaded.

Videos stored in iCloud may need time to download to the device. Connect to Wi-Fi, open the video in Photos, and try again.

Can I use Cutter with no-audio or short videos?

Yes. If there is not enough removable content, or if the app cannot make a confident cut, it avoids aggressive trimming and saves a result close to the original video.

How does Joinner decide video order?

Joinner joins videos in capture-date order. When dates are the same, the app uses a stable order.

How does SubTitler create captions?

SubTitler transcribes the audio from one selected video on device, burns captions into the video, and saves the result as a new video. The original video is not changed.

What does Translator do?

Translator transcribes one selected video on device, translates supported caption text, lets you review or edit translated captions before saving, and saves a new translated-caption video. Language availability depends on supported Apple Translation language pairs and system language assets.

What should I check if Translator cannot translate?

Check whether the selected language pair is supported by Apple Translation, whether system language assets are ready, and whether the device has enough network access and storage. If transcription fails, try a shorter video with clearer speech.

What does Mixer do?

Mixer adds bundled BGM to one selected video, balances music and original audio, and saves a new mixed video. When automatic volume adjustment is enabled, it lowers BGM around voice-like sections.

What does Reframer do?

Reframer reshapes one selected video into vertical 9:16, square 1:1, or landscape 16:9 output with blur background, color background, or crop fill, then saves a new video. The original video is not changed.

What does Cleaner do?

Cleaner analyzes one selected video's existing audio, adjusts voice-focused levels, and saves a new easier-to-hear video. It does not promise complete noise removal, voice isolation, captions, or BGM.

What does Masker do?

Masker detects face and text candidates in one selected video, lets you review candidates before saving, then saves a new video with blur or mosaic applied. It does not promise legal anonymization, guaranteed detection of every piece of personal information, captions, or BGM.

What does Colorer do?

Colorer adjusts brightness, color, and contrast in one selected video and saves a new copy. It does not promise resolution enhancement, missing-detail recovery, AI scene generation, beauty or face correction, BGM, or captions.

What does Stabilizer do?

Stabilizer reduces shake, small tilt, and micro-jitter in one selected video, lets you compare before and after, then saves a new copy. It does not promise perfect stabilization, AI subject tracking, image enhancement, BGM, or captions.

What does Stamper do?

Stamper adds a visible date, optional title, and user-entered place note to one selected video, previews the overlay, then saves a new copy. It does not identify places automatically, rewrite photo-library metadata, add BGM, or add captions.

What does Follower do?

Follower adjusts the frame around a likely visual subject in one selected video, then saves a new vertical, square, or landscape copy. It does not identify people, recognize faces, guarantee perfect tracking, or provide manual keyframes.

What does Pacer do?

Pacer analyzes speech and visible motion in one selected video, shortens quieter or stiller stretches, then saves a new copy. It does not join videos, remove ranges as an automatic cut, add captions, add BGM, adjust color, or stabilize footage.

What does Narrator do?

Narrator reads text you enter with iOS system text-to-speech voices, lets you place that narration on the timeline of one selected video, and saves a new copy. It does not provide voice cloning, celebrity voices, automatic script generation, captions, BGM, translation, or lip sync.

Does creation continue if I close the app?

For stable creation, keep the app open while analysis or export is running. Long videos may take more time.

Where do I manage purchases or subscriptions?
